Successfully creative in Bavaria
The Bavarian Centre for the Cultural and Creative Industries (bayernkreativ) is the main support agency for the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) in Bavaria.
Funded by the State Ministry of Economics, bayernkreativ works to help the industry thrive and strengthen its position as a key player in the German market and beyond. Offering a range of interactional formats, the Centre enables people and organisations in the field to realise their ideas and act on their entrepreneurial goals. It also coordinates activities with key stakeholders – from neighbouring agencies to trade associations to other public bodies – and forms a link between industry and the administration. As a platform, it is designed to connect, inform, qualify and inspire industry actors.
Many cultural and creative players work freelance or act as small business owners and face the challenge of placing their services on the market in an economically viable and sustainable way. The Bavarian Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries is therefore committed to improving the economic perspectives of artists and creatives from fields as diverse as architecture, design, music, film and broadcasting, fine and performing arts, literature, press, advertising, software and games.
Since August 2015, the Centre has assisted over 1,000 cultural and creative businesses with their commercial projects through individually designed support programmes.
